WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO GET TO HEAVEN?
HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT ABOUT LIFE AFTER DEATH? Is there more to life than just living and dying? Many people say that they'll think about it when they are older, as they have no time now. However, the Bible says that every man has a destined time to die. When will YOUR time be?
You are not just a physical body, you also have an immaterial part which will not die. When somebody hurts your physical body, you sense pain. However, when some body says something negative about you or does something bad to you, you are hurt on the inside. This immaterial part is what will live on after death. Have you ever considered what will happen to YOU after death?
As the Bible tells us, there is a heaven and a hell. In a simple way, Heaven is the place where God lives, whereas Hell is the place without the presence of God. After death, every person will go either to Heaven or to Hell. How about YOU?
As God saw your inability to enter Heaven, He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to this earth to die for your sins (John 3:16, Hebrews 9:28, 1 Peter 2:24). After He died, He went to Heaven to apply the Blood to the Mercy Seat, reconciling you to God (2 Corinthians 5:19). Your sins are paid for by Christ and you can go to Heaven. However, YOUR eternity depends on whether or not you choose to accept His free gift of salvation.
You can still get out of the prison of death, bound for Hell, by accepting Christ as your Savior. It is just a step of faith. The Bible says that salvation is the free gift of God by grace through faith. Won't YOU decide for eternal life now while you still have time?
Please pray
"Dear Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I receive You as my personal Saviour. Thank You for loving me so much that You died for my sins so that I can have eternal life with You. Amen."
After you have accepted Christ as your Saviour, time is on your side. Every moment that you live is a moment closer to Heaven and God. You don't have to live in the fear of death any more but can now enjoy your new life with God.
